Disney Details: A Goofy Movie

One of the things I love most about Disney, is their attention to detail. Whether it's in the parks or in the movies, it engulfs you into the whole Disney experience. One of the many ways they do this - is slipping beloved Disney characters or references into their movies. (Rather like  the famous "Hidden Mickey's" but much more obvious!) There is many examples of this - Like when the Genie in Aladdin turns himself into Pinocchio and dons a Goofy sun hat like the ones which used to be sold in the Disney parks.

Many of these little references are quite obvious, many which are more subtle, but all are fun to notice and will bring a smile to the face of most Dsiney lovers!

Today I'm going to focus on A Goofy Movie. I watched it for the first time in goodness knows how long recently, and I have never noticed so many hat-tilts to other Disney characters right off the bat before! I got quite excited!

The first one comes when Max wakes up from his nightmare and the phone on his bedside table starts ringing. Look at the friendly face!

The next comes as Max's friends are standing behind the curtain at a school assembly, while Max is dancing on stage. Take a look at the prop in the background.
Ariel on Skull Rock?
In shots before this, a pirate ship is seen right beside the skull-shaped rock. Could this be Skull Rock from Peter Pan that Ariel is sitting on? After all she does make a cameo appearance in Peter Pan's Flight in the Disney parks!

We see Goofy at work in a store taking photographs of children. Behind him is a pile of stuffed toys to the keep the kids happy that makes even me envious! There's also a few familiar faces poking out of the pile, can you spot them?

Mickey makes another appearance a little later along with Donald Duck, after Donald is referenced by Max as Goofy's best friend. The are seen trying to hitch a lift by the side of the road when Goofy and Max start their road trip.
Donald doesn't look to happy about being lumbered with all the bags!
They are seen just after (or before!? I can't quite remember!) Goofy tries to get Max to play game of 20 questions. Here comes another verbal reference!
Goofy: "Hey Maxie, let's play a game. You think of a name and I'll try to guess who it is! Man or woman?"
Max: "Man."
Goofy: "Man... Hmmm... That's a toughy hmm... WALT DISNEY!"
Max: "Right."
He didn't need too many clues did he!?

Does the show Goofy takes Max to on the trip remind you of anything? Maybe a certain Disney World opening day attraction, also featuring singing, banjo-strumming animatronic critters?

At a scene in a diner, Goofy's car keys are seen sitting on the table along with the road trip map. Does his keyring give a clue as to where Goofy's last trip was to?

The pair's next stop is a marine-themed motel. The wall light sees a certain mermaid make her second appearance in the film.
Ariel's got herself some pretty funky light-up shells for her top!
The last appearance I have to admit I didn't actually notice myself, I came across it by accident on Google images! This scene is at the Powerline concert at the end of the movie. Look who's a fan!

That's all the Disney references I noticed in the movie. Has anybody got some more that I haven't found? If so please share them in the comments!
I hope to do some more of these for different movies soon!
